STL 2007 Round 1
We went down against the Bucks Mens 5-2. After Drawing with them early 2-2 just after half. The game could have gone anyway, if we had taken more care of our own possession. At times we were our own worst enemy. The 9 Pukekos that gutted, and grinded out the game in tricky conditions should hold there heads high, for the effort they put in. Im proud of that.
This is the attitude we should take to every game - to give it our best - blood and guts for the Pukeko Jersey.
We had a few opportunities to score with some close calls by the ref - touch and go - which we will finish off as the season progresses. We gotta get down and dirty and dive for that line.
Our two rookies Tony and Lixin had a tough debut into the STL but we look forward to good things from our super fast lads! With much talent, enthusiasm and agility it wont be long until they dominate the scene.
Look out for Round 2 when the Pukekos will be out for BLOOD!

Team Fine - AJ for running to the sideline while on defense and angrily throwing his cap off to signify he was serious about playing and suddenly he turns around and the opponent runs down the sideline to score the second try of the game! Can you spell NING NONG?
